Fire of Unity

Author's Note: My sister had to do a poem on "unity" and how she felt about it and since she's failing L/A she came to me who is breezing along. So obviously being a great sister *sinister laugh* I "helped" her write her poem. I wrote all of it... oops.... I mean she wrote all of it, with like THAT much of my help. :)

We all stand round

With our hands held out

We all reach towards a horizon of dreams

With thoughts and ideas

We all see different

However underneath, is a strand of unity

Let this strand grow

Let it strengthen and shine

Let it overcome all wrong and make all right

This strand of unity is our future

What we do today will be with us forever

Let all hate disappear overcome by unity

We are a band of brothers and men

We are a line of brave soldiers all for a singular cause

We fight through all sorrows all end up on top

From blood 'tis not relation but from our very hearts

With every beat and every sound

Let unity transcend

Let love, peace, and unity transcend

Let it become a ribbon

Let it fly and float in the breeze

We then all will be touched

Not harmed nor hurt

But touched by our own unity covering us as a warm blanket of softness

As we stand round the fire from hearts

Let us keep this flam alight

It is a symbol of all us as one

Let it burn and glow lighting dark times

We should never part, stay as one

Stay together, close as one

Without one we are none

Without each other we are none

Without unity we are none

Keep unity in our souls

Never let it slip through fingers like sand

Keep them fire burning bright

Let unity light the darkest  times
