Is This It?

Author's Note: It doesn't really fit any one format but it's valid, so read it! :D Have a Nice Summer!!!

Is this it?
Can it be the end?
Is sorrow to replace all of me?

Are my eyes dim since once the were lit?
Are the glories over, that were there then?
But most important will I see you again?

As a take a look back,
Back to the very start,
I wonder has something changed just because I played a part?

A change is coming that will put a end
Since everything is dwindling to a stop,
I hope that you know that I am not lost.

And I hope you remember me,
Let me continue to live, among the voices of you.
Just remember for always you will be my friends.

Flame Up The New Kid- Chapter 3: Far From Fab French

I had something called a block schedule. It's some really weird class schedule that's proven to help kids get better grades in each class. That day, when I met Mr. Moron, I happened to have French. And surprise, surprise Flame managed to be in the same class. Luckily, I had a seat with my friends around me, so I managed not to have him land a seat next to me. He was a total outa-wack….. thing! But, unfortunately, he managed to sit by Daisy, a.k.a. Daisy. I could tell Dizzy wasn't to happy bout Flame arriving either. She was the best French student ever, but that's cause she was an exchange student from France. Isn't that like totally awesome?! Ok, back to the point. Flame was just as good as her, I learned that Flame's dad was French! Cool, right?! But, not like I was gonna admit that then.

Dizzy being one of my friends was involved in the secret code our little group had. She continuously signaled "S.O.S," "Moron," and "Avoid at all costs."  Ha, ha! Anyway, I was positive Bri wasn't thinking like the rest of us. She was sitting right next to me. Bri, obviously, was completely crushing on him. Eeeeeewwww!!!! What a traitor… correction "desperate traitor." What girl could be so mental to fall for a guy she's only seen for 10 minuets, who all her friends hate, is a moron, and is, well, is Flame! I wouldn't do that, at least I don't think so……. not the point! Actually, I'm getting real off topic… soooo back to the point.

French was ridiculous, every question that Madame Maxine asked was swiftly answered by Flame. Easy to see who was teacher's pet now, poor Dizzy. I could tell Dizzy and Flame would never get along, but by the slight chance if they did, I was sure it would be because of me. After a crazy questionnaire session, we had five worksheets to complete, with like a million  problems on each page. And I'm not joking, not even a slight exaggeration is taking place right now…….. Ok maybe a slight exaggeration….. Oh fine, I said it there were only three to six problems on each page. But, hey, it seemed like forever with Flame continuously rushing up to Madame Maxine's desk to get the next worksheet or get some extra credit sheets. All I could do was stare and think "What a LOSER!," "What a GEEK!," and What an OVERACHIVING STUPID SHOWOFF!" And no, I wasn't jealous.

I could tell I had been wrong. This day could definitely get worse. Still, I had hopes. It was now time for recess and lunch. Even though everything had gone wrong so far, I probably wouldn't have to sit by, eat by, or talk with Flame for the rest of the day. You see, I had A lunch and B recess. While Flame had B lunch and A recess. While I was eating, he would be being stupid, running around like crazy, and what not outside, out of my view. Lucky me! After that stuff, I'd have GAT Language Arts. Flame wasn't smart enough to get any Gifted and Talented course. HAHAHA! And then GAT Algebra. I also had a GAT math course. Flame wasn't in this either. Unfortunately, I'd have to see him at Study Hall. Whatever, an hour wouldn't kill me. I was fairly surprised by the end of class, I was actually looking forward to the rest of this day.

Flame Up The New Kid- Chapter 2: Lousy Lab

As soon as I stepped of the bus, I sprinted to the bathrooms. And, well, I ended up losing my breakfast. I dug through my bag, hoping to find breath- mints. I heard the bell ring. Lovely, now I had less than five minuets to change and get to chemistry. Rushing upstairs to my locker, still having a taste of bile, I managed to run into the student counselor, changed, looking like a full idiot with my lab coat, goggles, and other things, escorting Flame around the school. She stopped me and smiling said, "Well, look here Fang, you're no longer the new girl anymore. Meet Flame, he's in all of your classes except JRG Phy. Ed. (JRG= Jr. Girls). Obviously, he has JRB instead. Oh, Fang would you mind showing him his classes from now on. I've showed him the school, and you're probably the only one who knows how he feels." I almost died right then, I couldn’t believe she just asked me to be his "servant" until he knew everything he should about JR Gerrits. I worried, how on earth did he manage to land in all the same classes as me? Hating myself for this, a forced a smile and replied, "Sure, I'd be glad to, we'll get along just fine, now won't we Flame?," I said looking his way. I smiled to myself, I knew I'd be just the person to make this place make him feel like home here, wouldn't I? I gave him a sly smile and told him, "I better show you to chemistry, you might wanna hurry up, or you'll make us both late. Come on!" I could see the counselor smiling as she wrote out a pass for me and Flame. I took the pass, grabbed Flame's wrist excusing myself, took off towards class.

I could hear him whining about me grabbing his wrist to hard. Getting tiered of his voice, I abruptly stopped, pulled him close to my face, frowning, grumbled, "I'm supposed to tell you the rules around here and you're supposed to follow them! Rule number one! Never. Ever. Complain! Especially not when you're new around here! Got it, good, let's go! Hurry up, we've got like a minuet before the bell!"

In a few seconds I yanked him into the lab and introduced him to Ms. Healey, the teacher. During the introductions I smiled, but this time it was genuine, I was relieved about getting him off my back. I then had to get him supplies after turning in the pass. As soon he was ready for class, I ditched him and made my way to my seat. But then I frowned and put head in my hands, elbows propped onto the work table as soon as I heard he was to sit right next to me, in the only empty seat in the whole lab. Great! Now I was positive this day couldn't get any worse!

You know what's funny, whenever you think that nothing could get worse it always manages to do so. Like when you're stranded off in the middle of sea without any food or shelter with only a raft and paddle for protection, and you think nothing could get worse, but then, you hear thunder and see a flash of lightning and then rain starts pouring down hard onto your head. But, I wasn't thinking like that right then. I supposed that since things going wrong so far couldn't get worse, I thought I saw a sliver of sunshine coming out from behind the clouds. But, unfortunately, I was wrong. I had now started, without me knowing, a voyage that I'd never forget. One I'd never forget, not even after my death.

Flame Up The New Kid: Chapter 1- Bad Luck Bus Ride

I was just standing there waiting the bus. My face basking in the glow of the sun. I light breeze moved my hair. Then I saw someone walking towards me. It was a boy, around my age, maybe about 13 or 14. He asked, "Hey, is this the bus stop?" I guessed he was the new boy everyone had been talking about. Average height, brown hair, brown eyes, fairly pale, totally average.

I smiled and nodded, "Yea, 'sup what's your name?" He shifted his weight to his other foot and said, "My name is the name I hate the most, just call me Flame."

I made a goofy grin, some one had turned up with an exotic nickname as my own, "OK, Flame, how old are you?"

"Thirteen," he replied. Ha! I was right.

I took my hand out of my pocket, pointed down the street and alerted him, "You may want to step back, the bus is coming, it always manages to splatter mud."

Flame stepped back. When the bus came to a stop, after splattering dirt and mud in all directions, the doors opened to a stinky turkey and cheese stench. I saw him wrinkle his nose. "You first," I said trying to get the lasts gasps of fresh air. Shrugging, he stomped right in. On the second step he froze, turned, and frowned. I grinned in reply.

"Hey, not to be mean but every newbie has to face it one way or another." Rolling his eyes he went up and then into the isle. I went in after him. It was terribly warm inside, feel like I was going to be sick, I shoved Flame into the seat he was passing and rushed to the back rows. I peeked over at Flame. He looked fine and undisturbed even though I was losing control. I was the most self structured person in the world and I was sweating it this time. He grinned, and looking like a complete joke said "Hey, everyone has to face it one way or another."

I looked around, the bus was almost empty, the only ones sitting were younger kids in the front two rows and Flame half way trudging down the isle. I stuck my tongue out at his face, continued my way to the back, and plopped down in seat L12. The seat was hard and it smelled like cheap cologne. I gagged, swiftly stood up, and made an effort while I tried to pull down the window. My face had turned into a red hue by the time I succeeded. I could hear the moron stifling laughter up near the front. Grumbling I sat down again and shifted a million times, but didn't find a comfortable position. I opened my orange neon Nike duffel bag, sought out my make-up kit from the disgusting mess, only to find that I had run out of lip-gloss. For me this is was not a big problem, I didn't wear make-up often. But the bus-ride, so far, had flopped my mood into a big, black, stubborn, and uncleanable mess, much like my bag. And on top of that this new Flame kid was getting on my nerves. I chucked the empty gloss tube at the back of his head. I luckily found a spare, feeling like this was the luckiest thing that happened to me today by far, I contently applied, then re-applied my gloss.

The bus pulled to a stop, I looked out the window in time to see my best friend make a face and drag her feet into the bus. Hey, at least I wasn't the only one who was going to enjoy this ride. "Gwen! Gwennie, come over here!," I called out. I saw her glace at Flame and flash a flirty smile at him. I could imagine him smiling back at her. The rest of the ride was long and boring until the last stop. Gwen's crush Adam, stumbled aboard, and much like the others glanced at Gwen and made a face due to the smell. Gwen always had the spotlight, not that it mattered to me. I liked being her shadow, I didn't have to face all the popularity problems as much as she did. She was a dream girl and not to mention the best friend in the world. From her golden locks down to her styled shoes, she looked like she just stepped out of a fashion magazine. Adam smoothly walked over to us and took the only open seat left, the one right across from us. Great, rest of the ride I'd be seeing Gwen and Adam make cow eyes at each other.

I yanked Gwen over to the window side thinking why they just didn't go out. Really, then I wouldn't be stuck in mushy-gushy, lovey-dovey non-sense. They could just talk freely. Gwen being by the window didn't stop them from making faces at each other. I felt like re-assembling Adam's face so Gwen wouldn't look over. I had landed myself, out from the side-lines of an onlooker, straight into the belly of the beast. By the end of the ride, I was sure I'd feel nauseous. And, unfortunately, I was right. Me and my luck.

"This is going to be one horrible day," I muttered to myself while exiting the bus with none other then Flame in front and the two love-birds in back. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place!

Reflection On The One and Only FRI-FRI!!!

Author's Note: I know this really doesn't follow a basic essays guideline, but it's something I really put a lot of work into. It really has feeling. Sorry if it makes you cry :) It's also a bit jumpy, but it's me….. Since when am I calm? Anyways, I can seriously say this might be the most heartfelt piece I've ever written. Well, that's because I can't stand mush…. I'm writing this note after my piece…. So guys….. Thanks for the comments you left on my blog. You're like family, I can really say I really love (ok... maybe not LOVE love, but like friend love) each of you in a special way. My experience here is a dream come true- let's hope I don't move this summer, I'd love to see you guys again. And make sure you guys K.I.T. with me! :)
Oh yea, I did some things on purpose to prove my point. Like got off of topic and such..... so don't yell at me for that..... :D

From eight hours everyday of my "normal'' life, just one hour makes all the difference. From the moment I step into that classroom, high expectations dance through my mind imagining what I would be doing to fill up a great hour of my time. Would I imagine dragon fights, or maybe yarn; how about a story of friendship rotating around secrets, rumors, and gossip? Just an hour of freedom, to imagine, to explore, show independence, and be proud of what I have done. Just one hour to shine. Only 60 minuets to be free; just 60 minuets to let my mind escape the daily troubles of school. Just an hour of "Johnson's Seventh Grade Advanced Language Arts Class."

The first time I stepped into that classroom and searched every pair of eyes that was expectantly staring at me, I knew this class would be a life changing experience. I could see brilliance gleaming in each eye of every person. I expected this class to be an extraordinary one, and I got much more than what I (actually my parents) had paid for. What I have learned is past the point that dreaming extends out to. From being courageous to working hard, my life has changed just because of an hour, just because of a second it took me to step through a doorway. Just because…..

My first steps through that doorway, lightly tapping away at the tiled flooring, had me wondering how I could have ever landed in a class like this. Thinking myself to be an average student, I had simply wasted hours of my life away. In this class I learned I was worth much more than I ever knew. I learned that just having heart to a task makes all seem simpler. I have been able to mature every word of my writing along with my writing skills in this class. I now show much more independence in my writing than I ever have had before. I've pushed myself to my limits to succeed in what I wanted to reach. Just by trying, I can do anything. Who knew I could have changed so much?

Changes really did happen, so much improvement shows in my writing. I now actually feel like I'm working towards a goal. If I try, I can easily interest a writer in a piece of my work. Just a few lines can hook on my readers and audience. I can just hear the applauses now; the applauses echoing with every of my successful heartbeats. Also, I have much more organized writing, but that doesn't do much for organizing my locker, unfortunately. My paragraphs flow much better, I have understandable transitions for each of my pieces. Another one of my main improvements are in writing fiction. Before four months of this class, I was struggling on throwing every one of my words on paper in a proper order. My ideas would never come out straight. Now I have control on what I want and where I want it. Time went by much faster than I had thought, but I can surely say, my time was spent well and in worthy ways.

I just wish there was more time than just a few more days left. I hope I'll be here still next year, there is so much I would like to ask and learn. So many places I could improve in. If I had more time, I'd for sure try to work out my transitions. Also, I might want to sort out my priorities, but that doesn't apply to this class in any which way possible……. Anyways, if you might have just noticed, I also should try on focusing on a certain task. I get so bored easily…..that's why a yap so much! If I did that, you guys would have to throw me a party, since I really fail at being quiet! I'm really not focusing right now, I worked on this for like a whole week and it's not working out too well. That's probably another place I'd like to improve in if I just had the time: Writing long pieces in short times. Ohhhh….any mention of time makes me frown. Just a few more days left of walking into a classroom, with smiling faces ready for a new experience everyday. But at least summer is here. Who says we can't still keep in touch, why not.

Summer, summer, summer…… School just ending, a final bell releasing you from every barrier, change in the air! And life as you know it, just keeps getting better and better! Really, the truth is, my learning just can't end there. My life of freedom can’t be complete without this class. I'm for sure going to have to keep in touch with our sensei. My learning won't be ending there either, I'll continue reading and finding new passages among pages to other worlds. I'll still continue speaking my heart, and writing my heart. Just a few sentences each day on a long and amazing story, can also continue my life-long education. Okay, who am I kidding, I'm not going to write. Thank me later for being honest….. I'll still be reading though, and I'll probably write a few super short stories. Otherwise, I'm spending my days at the beach, relaxing, obviously watching T.V., and enjoying a beautiful summer vacation!

Since summer is here, I'll be saying goodbye. Just keep in touch, though. I'm really going to miss everything here. This place has become a home. I spend more time here than with my biological family. In truth, this class is just another family to me. Just because of the first second of a 60 minute hour, my life changed and I found the true me always surrounded by a family of brilliant friends supporting me every step of the way. Dreams really do come true……....

Tangled

Author's Note: So this is it. There are two poems. The first one I did because I was bored. My second one is the real deal.

Silent secrets
Pain and Glory
Tangled up in messes
Daring outlaws
Traitors stomping
Spells and hate
Love and desires
Wishes and promises
Worlds to come
Chances to take
Rapanzel goes for it
With everything at stake

Magics do exist
In dreams they do
A single thought provokes a dream
And it becomes your task to fulfill that dream
Chances are you can give up
It may seem hard to succeed
But after strength and trials
Light appears at the end of your tunnel
And what once seemed impossible is in front of you
Now that you find your dream after eons of search
A spark of excitement makes you want to burst
Finally after times long what you thought too hard
Has confronted itself and brought joy to your heart
The dream has been uncovered
The magic now erupts
It showers you in happiness and comfort
But after your celebration of victory of yours
A sadness creeps into your heart
What do you want now
Your dream is said and done
But now dream again
Take a new challenge
Find a new dream
Let your colors fly
It's not at hard as it seems
Let the wind rush through your hair
Let the sky be your limit
Just free your self
Never look back don't even glance
A dream is a dream
And when you succeed it's more
Make the dream come true
Live life to the fullest
Make your magic appear
Dream, dream, dream

Spring Assessment 2011

Passion of Commitment

All of us, who are committed to anything in life, know what components are needed to prove commitment. “The Hundredth Dove” is about Hugh, a fowler, who is put through tests to show his commitment to the king and his word. It is also about obedience, passion and sacrifice. These are the three main characteristics that all people committed to something must have. Especially when your own heart desires to go against a command made out to you.
When Hugh kills the white dove with his own bare hands it shows that Hugh really cares about his order. He is tempted to free the white dove, as it cooed sweet words like a soft melody hanging in a delicate breeze. Rewards of its freedom are mentioned but yet Hugh gathers his loyalty and completes his task. This shows that Hugh’s commitment to the king because it symbolizes sacrifice. Hugh was committed enough to sacrifice his own happiness, love and fortune for his order by the king. This was a great part of the story. It almost surprised me that Hugh killed the dove. I had supposed that this part of the story would be similar to “Snow White,” that Hugh would somehow fake killing the dove, succeed with his job, and then everybody would live happily ever after. Had that happened it would have been disappointing. Nonetheless, Hugh did kill the white dove and succeed in his job. It was a twist to the happy story, that’s why I liked this part of the story.
Another of my favorite parts of this story was when the author, Jane Yolen, described how Hugh took good care of his hunting equipment. This represented that he had a passion of his job. Since, he was so passionate, him being assigned a very important task for the king, made him work harder to achieve his goal. Another thing that made him passionate, in my opinion, was Lady Columbia, the Queen- to- Be. At first sight Hugh had been taken prisoner by Lady Columbia’s grace. This put a slight turn to the story. Had he not been spell-bound by the lady’s grace, he may have let the dove free, there may have been a wedding, Hugh may have stayed a hunter, and the end would have been a “Happily Ever After.” But, nonetheless, Hugh was enchanted by beauty, and that put a turn on events. Something different always takes me by surprise, that’s why I liked this part of the story.
Even though, passion was the main point I liked throughout the whole story, I still enjoyed most of it. But, the things I disliked were that Yolen took too long to get the message over. When you check the length of the introduction of characters, you may notice that over half the short story was just naming characters. Had I wrote this story I may have reduced some of the introductions of characters. Also, the ending of the story, was a little confusing. This would confuse any reader and may even turn the reader away from Yolen’s publications. I know it did to me.
To me this story proved passion, sacrifice, and obedience are things I should have for something I am committed to. Also, the symbolisms of these characteristics were shown thoroughly by the author. Its how the old saying goes: “Desire is the key to motivation, but its determination and commitment that lets you reach your unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” (Unknown)

Burning Nothingness

Author's Note: So, I guess my story isn't that bad. I was able to use all my words.... it's cause I'm just that genius (LOL.) This is really poor quality.... but whatever. If you think this is messed up... go look at yours :D. Enjoy!!!

The train whistle gives a final warning signaling its departure. I take off to the closest open door, as the train slowly starts to chug away. I'm running away, far away from my prison, my home. I am Fredric, a daring boy looking for freedom, away from here. But, my last thoughts make me jump off the train and take a sprint for the abandoned houses. Surprised at my reaction, I watch the steam engine slowly chug away. I wonder why. A few moments later, I see the engine come to a screeching stop……CRACK! Fire is ablaze on the train, coming right from the boxcar I had been in. This became a mark of the year 1951. Scared I ran, fast and hard, as the wind blinded my eyes, towards the abandoned houses. Without knowing, I tripped, right over what seemed to be a rock. To my surprise it was the strangest creature I had ever see. It was an armadillo. When I had impact, I felt myself bounce right up again. What was happening, there were blurs of smoke, dust and grime swirling around me. What was happening, was this the end? Had the fire reached me? Was I dying? All of a sudden everything came to a stop. There I was again, right back at the train station, hearing the whistle give a final signal. What was this supposed to mean. I thought it may have been that I should be dead. If this was my destiny, then I would fulfill it. I slowly, but frightened, walked towards the train, regretting every step. I saw the vendors all lined up with fading signs. "This is your last chance, try this delicious cocktail sauce with fresh caught shrimp," read one of the signs. I knew this was true for me, so I walked over and tried some of the samples. And, yes, it was delicious. I'd at least live this world with a happy memory.

I started off once again towards the train. I got on as it pulled away. Then I felt heat rising behind me and a sting of tears in my eyes. This was the end. The flames licked my ankles and I yelped in pain. Then, I felt everything fading away. I was dying. But, that was not the end, I felt the swirling again. I was spinning, I was blown off my feet. And then…. Silence.

Blackout. Nothing. Nobody. It was quiet, and I was frightened. I heard a deep demanding voice command "What are you doing here? You have not filled your destiny! I thought you were worthy enough to complete this task. Go back and do as I say!!!! You are not anything more than a worthless earwig." I screamed. Was there someone hiding in the darkness? By breathing quickened as the voice continued on about me having to save lives not sacrifice my own. "Fredrick! Go back and rescue those people on the train, your life should not end and neither should those innocent ones' lives!" And that was it. The swirling and emotions all flooded back and I held my breath as my feet touched the ground.

Feeling a burden upon me, made me shake. Why had it had to be me stuck in this life? Why did I have to have this job given to me? Couldn't it be someone else? Why did it have to be me on the Galapagos Island train station? But, knowing I could not change the future, I made my way to the train. I had a sick feeling in my stomach. I was giving my own death sentence. In no time I would be done. Thinking this give me a new perspective. If I was going to save lives might as well do it in style. So gathering all my courage, I sprinted towards the train alarm. I gave a short wave and a "Hi!," to the conductor. Giving a courageous jump I reached for the alarm and gave a strong tug. I felt the cool metal scrape against the palm of my hand. I tightened my grip around the handle and let gravity do the rest. I felt myself slowly coming down.

I heard everyone running off the train, straining to squeeze through the doors all at once. After I was sure everyone had exited, I scoured the train to find any last left- behind passengers. No, nobody was left. I calmed down and shut my eyes…. that is until……. Blackout.

I felt heat everywhere; I didn't dare open my eyes. I felt the heat, I felt myself burn, I felt pain searing through my body. Then silence, stillness and peace.

Nothing happened this time, nothing. No wind, nothing. No flying, nothing. No color, nothing. No blurring nothing. No life……. nothing. My time was over. I had fulfilled my task. I had died and lost my time of living, but I had succeeded in my task and won life and the life of others.

Hot Cocoa

I am drinking hot cocoa right now! So I wrote this!!!

Little marshmallows bobbing up and down
A pool of sweet chocolaty brown
Creamy, sweet and filled with delight
I hope for more of this wondrous might
I sip and sip till it's all gone from my cup
I frown and then I stand up
I search around for a packet of more
And to my surprise I find packets galore
There goes my frown, boredom and blues
And now cheers for chocolate from me to yous!

A Secret For Two: My Response

Eternal Friendship

Those of us, who have experienced true friendship, know the necessary parts of making friendship whole. "A Secret for Two" is about a friendship between a man and his horse that are joined together with an eternal and strong bond. It's also about kindness, love, and sacrifice. These three things are important components for friendship. Especially, in this case, an eternal friendship.

When Pierre dies, his death proves that dying may not always be depressing, unexpected, or unpleasant. This was one of my favorite parts; there was something that made me excited for a moment. How could someone be so attached to their horse, their best friend, that to be together that person could give up his or her life? This made a strong imprint that death may not always be something to grieve. Death, in this case, showed a life of eternal friendship. Pierre's death is a very interesting point in the story. It gave me second opinions on passing away, that's why I thought that this part was one of the best parts throughout the story.

My other favorite part was when the doctor reveals that Pierre had been blind, not for a short amount of time, but for five full years. This was surprising; I had been intrigued by the point that Joseph wore his hat low enough to cover his eyes and that he boasted blind men could cover his route with Joseph, but never thought he could have been blind for so long. Still this was not the part that got me thinking, what really made me think was that Pierre could have quit his job when he went blind. Surprisingly, he kept going to work to be with his friend. He had been able to see for over 25 years of his job, but his last five years of being a milkman, was while he was blind. He knew he couldn't ever see Joseph one way or another ever again, but still he came to work just for Joseph.

Pierre depended a lot on Joseph. Without him, Pierre would be unable to do his job. He could not read or write. Luckily he was able to get away with this. The cooks instead of following the usual custom of leaving a note in an empty bottle if an additional quart of milk was needed they would sing out when they heard the rumble of his wagon wheels over the cobbled stones of Prince Edward Street. Also Pierre had a remarkable memory. When he arrived at the stable he’d always remember to tell Jacques if people had changed their orders. Jacques would note these things in a little book he always carried. Most of the drivers had to make out the weekly bills and collect the money, but Jacques, liking Pierre, had always excused him from this task. So Pierre was lucky because of Joseph who meant everything to him. Without him he'd be nothing. For Pierre, Joseph, his best friend, was his world.

I wish the story had ended differently. Even though the end was unique, if I had written it there would be a few things I would slightly tweak. Instead of quickly going through Pierre's death, his death should have been more detailed. By more detailed I don’t mean how he looked after he gets hit by the truck, but rather feelings. It seemed as though the author rushed through the death of Pierre; things should have slowed down. A few minor differences could stir-up a whole lot of excitement. I think the ending should have consisted of Pierre's feelings as he walked across the cobbled streets, some flashbacks that had been mentioned or memories from the first few times Pierre drove Joseph. Also, strong memories of their friendship could have been displayed. The author should have set us up for the ending, given better reasons why Pierre was ready to give up his life for a horse. A strong connection and bond should have been pointed out right before the supposedly coincidental death. The sentence stating the death should have been something with a truck loudly roaring towards Pierre and then Pierre's grief all ending.  After these changes had been made, the signs of love that the author displayed could be included and then the story could have followed its original ending.

True, the story was great, but what I regretted after reading this to the end, was that this story wasn't that realistic. This story takes place in the past and no longer can be related to the present. These days no one knows the true meaning of friendship. People in the present think that once some person has been your friend for a few months, you're best friends. But, I know that's not true. I also have From moving so much and having so many friends that I thought were true and never would forget me, I now realize that they may never had been close friends with me. After a while we ended up losing contact. Meanwhile, my sister found herself a best friend for life. She still receives phone calls and party invites from her friends of her past. That's like Pierre and Joseph, but stronger, even after death they remained true friends. The continued their friendship not until death, but even after it.

"A Secret for Two" really shows the importance of friendship. After reading this we should all realize keeping a friend close is a good idea. A friend could be everything in some ones life. Friendship could even someone’s life and world. You know what they say "A flower my garden, a friend my world." A friend is something we all need, something we need at all times.

Animal Farm Mandatory Response

After reading Animal Farm to chapter four, I have come up with a few conclusions. They are about the characters, my prediction, and a summary about the additude of the pigs.
Animal farm is all about power and wealth. In the book, think of the animals as 'poor working people'. And think of the humans in the book as 'rich powerful people' (the owners of property, money, power etc).
After the worker's revolution on Manor Farm, the pigs begin as normal animals, (still poor workers) but they become the leaders on the new Animal Farm and the advantages of power changes them. Little by little they are beginning to change from animal to human (like from poor to wealthy.)
They so far have separated themselves from the other animals and have moved into the farmhouse. I think later in the book they will betray their animal comrades and adopt a human lifestyle. By the end of the book, while the normal animals are cold and hungry, they may start wearing clothes,  sleep in beds, become fat and learn to walk on two legs. At the very end of the book they may have dinner with humans at the farm's dinnertable and the pigs and humans look the same. The pigs may adopt to human lifestyle. In other words the pigs may completely change from animals (poor workers) to humans (rich owners).
Since Animal Farm resembles the Russian Revolution, every character has their place in real life. Here are a few. I think that some of the pigs like Napoleon, Squealer, and Snowball represet the leaders Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin. Specifically Snowball is Trotsky, Napoleon is Lenin, and Squealer is Stalin. Also, some other characters I have catogorized are Moses the raven. I think Moses represents Rasputin. Another character I'm sure about is Old Major, I think he represents Karl Marx. The farmer, his wife, and the farm's workers all represent the royal family of the time of the revolt. The last few mentioned characters, I have noticed, are skilled laborers or pheasents. Since there reallly is no character guide, I'm no sure about all of these but these are the few characters I know about.
These are a few things I have picked up from how much I have read of Animal Farm. As you may have noticed Animal Farm resembles the Russian Revolution in a satire form. I hope you have enjoyed the information I put together. Thank You.

Blog Block

Does anyone know why exactly some people put blocks on their blogs? I'd like to know those people exist out there. I get it some schools want blogs to be private, or someone wants only their friends to know, but why would people do that?If you have knews or have talent share it with the world! That's what I do!

Blame

Inspiration this time comes from the point I just got in trouble because of something I didn't do. That ever happened to you. And again it was due to my sister. I know who actually did it, and it was NAWT ME! Like telling you that is going to help, I didn't even tell you what's wrong. Anyway, ENJOY!

A little situation,
A big, big problem
A few words spoken
A tall-tale made

No beginning found
No end to be seen
No reason why
And the blame's on me

A little flame
Turns into a forest fire
A light drizzle
Turns into a storm

World whizzing by
None see me
I'm waiting to be heard
While the blame's on me

Waiting and sitting
Moment by moment
People passing by
None glance towards me

I make a frown
My world's upside-down
All point with glee
They point out the blame's on me

Why me?
I had no involvement
I just stood so quiet
I did nothing

I had been looking at my feet
Seen no evil
Far from doing any
So why, oh why is the blame on me?

Disappointing Dance

If you read this poem, then you will understand why I wrote this. And sorry to those who thought I was coming. :P

I've planned ahead, ahead for tonight
I know what I'm doing with all my might

I plan to dance, twirl, and sing
Flash around like a diamond ring

I see my future broad, and bright
I know my plans, not wrong, but right

I know for sure what I'm going to do
I know all plans for me and you

I skip right up with hopes in my heart
To let the grown-ups play their part

They look at me then start to frown
My hopes are shrinking, they are going down

Brave up to the thought
Let them have all I've got

I talk to make their choices change
Or at least to put the in a good to great range

But nonetheless, my efforts fail
And  I may  just part or begin to wail

My plans all crash, come tumbling down
And now I'm the one who starts to frown

I turn away, look at my feet
Go to my room and take a seat

My plans vanish, for now I can't prance
Hopes are gone, since I'm not going to the dance

So that means I'm not going to the Valentine's Day dance. Sorry again. I'm going up north.

Someone Special

My inspiration for this came from my sister. Who has been talking about her crush for the last two hours and won't  zip-it!  This stuff is mushy but, whatevs! Might as well deal with it. (A few minuets later)Does anyone have crazy glue or duct tape at hand?!!! I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS!!!!!

A single glance in their direction and you couldn't pull your eyes away
Someone special walks your way
Fireworks go off in your heart
Your stomach jitters
You dare not part
You freeze on the spot
Then see a grin from the special someone who has made their way in
Happy as you can be you smile back
Worrying if you look like a laugh
The next thing you know you're face to face
And your face burns
And your heart starts to race
All you could ask for is there that second
Then they leave, and to yourself you grin
This is because, in your heart, someone special has made it in

Questions?

I don't really have reason to have "Questions" at a topic. I just felt like doing this.
When you read this answer the questions asked. It's pretty weird, but I'm toe-dally BORED! And this is not a poem.

Have you ever just wanted to know something so badly that you just asked?
Ever asked at the wrong time?
At the wrong place?
Did you ever ask something some one got the wrong impression on?
Did you clear it up then?
Did you ask some one that you shouldn't have asked?
Near some one who shouldn't know (like asked your best friend if you had a chance with your crush in front of your 'rents)?
Have you ever made a wrong point by a question?
Teachers say asking questions are good, right?
No questions are "stupid" or "dumb," right?
Asking questions never lead you wrong, right?
After reading this do you still agree?

What is Love?

I heard a song and it sparked my imagination to write this poem/transilation thing.

What is love?
Love is like water rippiling at the slightest movement.
It is danger, at the simpilist mistake it backstabs you.
It is what happens when you hold out your heart in one hand.
A stranger who comes and steals it away.
Then you fall deep into a change.
Deep into love.
What is love?

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

The Super Bowl was first played on January 15, 1967, as part of a merger agreement between the NFL (National Football League) and AFL (American Football League). After a merger in 1970, each league became a "conference" and the game is now played between conference champions to determine the overall championship. The winning team receives the Vince Lomardi Trophy, named after the coach of the Green Bay Packers, who won the first two Super Bowl games and 3 of the 5 preceding NFL championships (1961, 1962, and 1965).
The day on which the Super Bowl is played, is now considered a de facto American national holiday - called Super Bowl Sunday. The broadcast of the football game is the most watched American television broadcast and boasts the most expensive commercial airtime of the year. Exclusive television broadcast rights for the Super Bowl rotate each year among 4 major American television networks: CBS, FOX, ABC and NBC. Because of the high viewership and commerical expense, watching and discussing the broadcast's commericals have become a significant part of the event.
Super Bowl games are numbered by using roman numerals. Super Bowl III was the first game to be numbered.
In 2010, Super Bowl XLIV was played by the American Football Conference (AFC) champion - Indianapolis Colts and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion - New Orleans Saints to determine the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2009 season.
And now the Super Bowl has come around again! This time played between the Packers and Steelers!
Who will win??? Watch it live on Sunday at 9:30 to find out who wins!
GO PACKERS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dreams of Eternal Peace

I actually was extremely bored when I wrote this. The whole classroom was quite, and then I glanced at Courtney's book "Peace like a River." I had already read some of your blogs and found stories. I decided to mix it up and write a poem. Courtney's book gave me an idea to write like a poem about peace.

Peace takes its flight like an endless ribbon
streaming out towards a
horizon of dreams.
Let dreams transcend into eternal peace,
uniting mankind forever,
one memorable day!
And let this day continue for as long as our lives,
and let peace continue even after our times.
Then it shall remain as eternal peace.

Maybelline

Mr.Johnson was talking about poems with meanings behind them. I decided to write a poem that had a meaning. My parents constantly tell me to find answer to my question than waiting for one. So, I did a poem on a girl named Maybelline that would never look for answers. The poem is weird since it's my first poem but it's not that bad!:D

Maybelline, Maybelline, the young girl Maybelline
She waited and sat for an answer to come
She roamed the woods, valleys, forests, and trees
Her only friends were the flowers and bees
She sat and sat, she walked and walked, waited and waited for an answer to come
Never did she care to go find answer
Wasted her life faster and faster
Soon her back was crooked and bent
For her answer, sat but never went
Then she left, her body all old
Never did she find success
This is the story of Maybelline as we've been told

High Above

I'm holding by breath as I peek over the ledge of the feriss-wheel's seat. My view is amazing. The fresh  air blows in my face. The world below seems no more that little insects crawling in dirt. I wonder if the world always is like this.  I realize how much I have not seen. I look at the girl seated next to me. I smile and she smiles back as the wheel turns us closer to solid ground.  But the ride is not over yet. Once again we start our way back up. My instincts make me clutch the railings tight, feeling the cool metal makes me calm down and relax from the heat on this hot summer day. The air freely blows my hair around.  I feel like a free spirit having know worries in life. Then the wheel turns once more and comes to a stop. The ride is over but, I still remember the thrill of being free. I knew that today would be a day to remember.
